Digital Move Forward Boost Your Online Presence Adoption micro‑grant is a small business funding program that provides up to $4,200 in upfront support to help eligible businesses improve their digital marketing and online presence.

Core purpose

  • Help small and medium-sized businesses to adopt or upgrade digital marketing and online tools.
  • Bridge gaps not covered by existing government digital adoption initiatives.​

Grant amount and cost share

  • Maximum micro‑grant: up to $4,200 in digital marketing services.
  • Co‑pay: the business must cover 30% of project costs; the grant covers 70%, up to the $4,200 cap

Eligibility Criteria for the Digital Move Forward Boost Your Online Presence Grant

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a for-profit business.
  • The company must be legally registered or incorporated.
  • Have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in the most recent tax year.
  • Must not have previously received this digital adoption grant or the Grow Your Business Online Grant.
  • Have a business that operates entirely offline, relying on in-person interactions and transactions rather than internet-based platforms for its functions.
  • The company must operate as a service-based business.
  • Your company name may be published as a grant recipient.
  • The grant administration reserves the right to determine your eligibility for the grant.

The following expenses are not eligible for the grant:

  • Expenses made before the grant approval
  • Sponsored Placement expenses with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, X ads, Reddit Ads, Quora Ads, and other similar platforms
  • Hardware Purchase
  • Opportunity costs
  • Lobbyist Expenses
  • New capital expenditures

Eligible expenses:

The grant can be used to cover 70% of costs with an approved digital vendor(s) for projects related to

  • Hiring a consultant to develop digital marketing strategies for your business
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve your business website search engines rankings
  • Business Website Content updates (as long as they are related to search engine optimization for your website)
  • Business Website Design/Redesign (SEO-focused) to improve digital presence, usability, and website performance

The following expenses are not eligible for the grant:

  • Expenses made before the grant approval
  • Sponsored Placement expenses with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, X ads, Reddit Ads, Quora Ads, and other similar platforms
  • Hardware Purchase
  • Opportunity costs
  • Lobbyist Expenses
  • New capital expenditures
