58. RYAN THOMAS:
Ryan is the CEO & Co-Founder The Intimate Lifestyle and Modern SexTalks Podcast. After serving 11 years in the Canadian army, Ryan dealt with low self-esteem and low confidence, and used sex to build himself up and encountered several sexual challenges that he had to overcome on his own, because he realized there aren’t any quality resources out there. That’s when he found how to help others and built a company to provide the training and education that he always wanted and needed and felt others did too. 59. ROGER KILLEN:
Roger manages the weekly events for Vancouver Business Network Meetups for entrepreneurs. 60. DARRYL BOSA:
Darryl came from a long line of well-known, local real estate developers and began his professional career by naturally entering the family business of real estate development before venturing to London to pursue investment banking, and later Beijing where he founded his own company. Coming back to Vancouver, Darryl has found opportunity within Vancouver’s growing demand for alternative workspaces and launched SpaceKraft. 69. DAVID HANCOCK:
David is the owner of the Hancock Wildlife Foundation. It was The Hancock Wildlife Foundation that pioneered much of the live streaming from cams to the Internet in bald eagle nests and in underwater salmon habitats. He is both a wildlife biologist and publisher of Hancock House Publishers Ltd. and, also a researcher, writer, photographer and lecturer. David also guides many wildlife film crews, tours and safaris, particularly to bald eagle, bear and orca destinations along the British Columbia and Alaska coasts, and to other parts of the world. 70. SUZANNE ST. JOHN SMITH:
Suzanne is from Ottawa, Ontario, trained as a psychotherapist at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. After that she moved back to Vancouver in 2010 and opened a private practice in West Vancouver. Her most recently published book, “Shedding the Myths We Grew Up With”, is based on ten of the most common negative self-beliefs that she has witnessed in clients and worked with over the years. She has now developed a workshop for those who are ready to ‘shed’ their particular myth(s), and it’s based on the program that she offers in Part 3 of her book. 71. RAY REID:
Ray moved to Vancouver from Jamaica at age 7. Upon graduating later on from Ryerson University, he didn’t even have a background in advertising yet he made his way to the top of the corporate ladder through determination, hard work and long hours. Once up, Ray realized that there was a serious lack of education and transparency in the fast growing digital industry. He therefore left his senior role and started Digital AdLab, an educational service partnered with Google’s DoubleClick platform to provide proper hands-on training to today’s digital talent. Digital AdLab works with educational institutions, students, marketers, agencies and advertising professionals and offers a solution in response to the demand for increased programmatic talent in today’s digital media industry.
